2026 - the star of the year
A star that only exists for one year.
Every year at Stjernefabrikken we launch a special Star of the year, which is only produced for a limited time. At the end of the year, the colour is permanently discontinued - never to return.
This year the colour is Frost blue.
The frosty blue colour is inspired by cold winter mornings and the clear Nordic light. The result is a star with a calm, exclusive look that fits perfectly in both modern and classic homes.

Sustainability in focus
For the young siblings, sustainability has been a key issue from the very beginning and the majority of the process of transforming tarpaulin scraps into beautiful Christmas decorations is done manually. The star strips are hand-cut, the stars and hearts are hand-braided and recycled cardboard boxes are used for shipping.
The story behind Stjernefabrikken
Stjernefabrikken started in 2017 and the first year the poinsettias were sold locally, but the interest was great and quickly spread, so the following year Stjernefabrikken could be found at various Christmas and designer markets. At the family's home in Gjellerup near Herning, the guild hall was converted into a workshop and shop, which is still open on weekends from the beginning of October until Christmas.
